Frozen is our edition about cryonics as a possible cold “limbo” for the believers of a better future. A future where technology will be able to keep us alive longer, in a healthy body (human or not) but first of all will be able to bring us back to life!

You would not think so, but people are preserved, ‘in suspension’ since the late 60’s waiting for us to bring them back!

We have many questions ;

Do we want them back?

What happen if one come back with health care needs, costs, no family etc… Who is supposed to take care of this human of the past?

Is humanity responsible of those choosing to get cryogenized?

Is it cold in there?

Be prepared for an icy evening with liquid nitrogen, frozen brains, ice creams and surprises!

GOGBOT thema 2018: FUTURE FLASH 200:
From Frankenstein to Hyperbrain.

GOGBOT kijkt 200 jaar terug naar het jaar 1818, toen de 18 jarige Mary Shelley de roman Frankenstein schreef, de iconische geboorte van de Cyborg. Maar GOGBOT kijkt vooral 200 jaar in de toekomst, naar het jaar 2218, een onmogelijk visioen, omdat we vandaag de dag een enorme versnelling van technologische ontwikkeling doormaken, op het terrein van A.I., robotics en human enhancements. Een ontwikkeling die onze wereld op korte termijn radicaal kan veranderen, nu we in staat zijn om biologische data te beheersen en te verbinden, zelfdenkende wapens in te zetten en de democratie te manipuleren met social media. Onze maatschappij lijkt af te stevenen op een totaal dataisme….gerund door de Frightful Five: Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Google.

De vertoonde film is een uniek werk in de Nederlandse genre filmgeschiedenis. Begonnen in 2004 als Worst Case Scenario, de film die veel potentie had, maar nooit het levenslicht zag. Gelukkig bleef het hier niet bij en creëerde Richard Raaphorst in 2013 Frankensteins Army!
